Does this plugin work with the Gutenberg block editor?

Yes! Version 1.2.28 adds a native Gutenberg block. Search for “Email Subscribe” in the block inserter.

Is this plugin GDPR compliant?

Yes. You can enable a consent checkbox with customizable text and links to your Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Can I connect it to Mailchimp?

Yes, the free version includes Mailchimp sync for up to 100 new subscribers per month. For unlimited syncs and additional ESPs (Brevo, Kit, Klaviyo), upgrade to PRO.

Does the shortcode still work?

Yes. The shortcode [print_email_subscribe_form] is still fully supported alongside the new Gutenberg block.

How do I stop the popup from showing to the same user repeatedly?

Use the Cookie Time setting — set the number of days before the popup shows again to the same visitor.

The pop-up function did work, however, apostrophes do not show up properly and no ascii codes seemed to work (minor inconvenience). My issue is that once a subscriber signs up, I see them in the plugin’s subscriber list, but there is nothing useful I can do with the data. There is no way to email them that I could find throughout my dashboard, nor is there an export function to be able to export the subscriber list… in order to add them as users in the Users area (which is what would actually be useful for me). All I can do, is ‘delete selected subscriber’. Anyways, not impressed, and not likely to consider the pro version. I wish there was a negative star option for ratings, as a 1 star rating is too high for this plugin in my opinion. Hopefully others experience will be better than mine, and/or that the plugin is extended to include more useful functions in future releases.
