NuwaveLabs Risk Review gives site administrators a practical overview of plugin related risks and a few important WordPress environment checks.
The goal is simple: help you spot issues that are easy to miss during day to day site management, such as outdated plugins, compatibility concerns, inactive plugins left behind, or overlapping plugins in categories that commonly cause conflicts.
NuwaveLabs Risk Review checks for things like:
- Available plugin updates
- Plugins not marked as tested with your current WordPress version
- Plugins that require newer versions of WordPress or PHP
- Plugins that look stale or possibly abandoned
- Inactive plugins still installed on the site
- Multiple active plugins in categories such as cache, SEO, security, analytics, and backup
- REST API reachability
- WP Cron reachability
- Autoloaded options size
Features include:
- Plugin risk table with scores and grades
- CSV export
- Optional weekly email summary with selectable day and time
- Manual “Send now” and “Send test” email actions
NuwaveLabs Risk Review is a read only admin tool. It does not activate, deactivate, update, or modify plugins. It is built to help you review the state of a site more quickly and make better maintenance decisions.
All checks run on your site. No telemetry or tracking is included. Public plugin metadata is retrieved from WordPress.org using core WordPress APIs.
A Pro version is planned with additional reporting and workflow features.

nuwavelabs-risk-reviewfolder to/wp-content/plugins/ - Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress
- Open NuwaveLabs Risk Review from the WordPress admin menu
- Optional: enable weekly email reports and choose the schedule

No. NuwaveLabs Risk Review runs on your site. The only external requests are to WordPress.org for public plugin metadata, using official WordPress core APIs.
